Have you ever had a great opportunity but didn't know whether or not to take it?

Well this was my situation, it was a day like any other the same boring routine, typical Sunday morning with nothing to do and as always in pajamas and sleepless, no whatsapps pending ... of course! because all my friends were still with hangover and certainly quite asleep but something was wrong at that time I did not know exactly what was going on but something sensed, good or bad but I was sure that something was wrong, so I decided to take a warm bubble  bath  before someone interrupted or got an unexpected visit, then out of nowhere the phone rings and to be honest I  get thrilled everything in the house was so calm I never expect some noise, I answered the phone and typical a wrong call -I´m not Martin... ugh! so after that I planned to restart my shower intentions I set some music ah of course!... someone interrupted again but this time it was my aunt and the call went something like this:

-Hello Heli! How are you?

-Fine thank you, you know... as always as every Sunday morning, last night was everything or nothing, how about you?

-Surely the party last night went right, good thank you, here we´re all good (here because she lives in Querétaro).

- Yes aunt you know Saturdays are about to die.

-Of course they are about this you're young you have to have fun;  Heli, may I ask you something?  you have your papers in order? like your visa, passport and those papers?

-Ehm ... yes, I think so.

-Perfect, tell me you like to come to Miami this year with us?

(Let me explain something before any other thing;  I was in a kind of sleepy mood and lazy for thinking or searching for my passport to verify if  I really had everything in order so with this information lets go on.)

-Of course I would like to go to Miami with you!

-Perfect! So I´m going to call you later to tell you all the needed arrangements.

-Okay thank you!!

After that I took my bubble bath with anything in my head but my Miami trip, then I ran with my mother to tell her my excellent news and here is when I almost collapsed...

First I had an round about expired passport and second I have to decide what on earth I wanted to study here in Mexico because although I have decided to study Business in the MBA School of Business Administration in Miami  so I was in tears because I really wanted to go to Miami to see some friends and with my family and yeah also to review the opportunity to apply for the  Miami University scholarship.

So I pick the phone up and make some calls to the Secretary of Foreign Relations and after they gave me an interview for renovating my passport they gave me only two option one was to wait a week and the other but less probably to search for my passport the day I needed (a day after my trip).

Thanks God they had my passport one day before my trip but again I needed to decide if it was the best option study  the MBA so... well here I am I decided to course the first semesters here in Mexico and then search for my scholarship at the MBA.

But what would you do if you were in the same place?

  19. Hi Heli! Miami is beautiful, i lived there for only 6 months (to learn english) when I was 13 years old.
You shouldn't waste that opportunity, I would have LOVE to have a scholarship in USA like The university of Arizona or The university of Texas in Austin.
